Toronto, ON, January 25, 2024 – Mayor Olivia Chow, joined by Councillor Michael Thompson, recently toured Jule’s headquarters, where she praised the company's advanced technology for revolutionizing electric vehicle (EV) charging.

"They've created a compact, safe, reliable, and advanced ‘hub’ that allows you to charge your car without the high costs and complexities of tapping directly into the power source." - Mayor Olivia Chow

During her visit, Mayor Chow admired Jule's innovative approach to EV charging. “It's a solution for the future,” she remarked. “Right here [in Scarborough], Jule has developed very advanced technology enabling a future where we don't worry about charging a car or a bus. They've created a compact, safe, reliable, and advanced ‘hub’ that allows you to charge your car without the high costs and complexities of tapping directly into the power source.”

Jule’s CEO, Himanshu Sudan, elaborated on the technology's impact. “Our technology, developed in partnership with the University of Toronto, facilitates fast charging akin to refueling at a gasoline station but without straining the grid or escalating costs for consumers. This approach is pivotal in preventing billions in electrical upgrades while achieving our electrification goals.”

Mayor Chow's visit underscored Jule’s role in leading the shift toward sustainable urban transportation. The company's technology, which enables rapid EV charging without the need for extensive grid upgrades due to its battery storage system, is a game-changer in reducing electricity costs and enhancing grid reliability.

Himanshu Sudan highlighted the underlying technology of the battery system that supports Jule’s vision. “What we’ve created are these hubs [batteries] that act as reservoirs of electricity current, that is then able to push that stored energy in a powerful way to a car, as needed.”

Aligned with governmental initiatives for net zero emissions, Jule's solutions represent a significant stride in overcoming electrification challenges while fostering economic growth.
